I’ve learned more from failure about how things work than through success.  It’s only through failure that you begin to understand the underlying mechanism that govern the movement of all things and actually understand its form.

It’s taken over 266 trials to bring Unity Pixel into form after 3D modeling the 2D codex.  266 Failures of 6 hours a piece to understand the dynamics between the Arc and the Angle, the Circle and the Square.

I would sit and watch my 3D printer (Gabriel) for hours as it translated the updated model into form and learn how and why things failed from structural and mechanistic limitations.

Ultimately, Unity Pixel was born and the ancient koan, Circling the Square was brought into a higher dimension Sphering the Cube.

This series is an homage to the balance of Patience and Perseverance.  The grit and surrender it takes to stay on path, listen and bring something impossible into form.
